The Irish Congress of Trade Unions hold a conference every two years, where trade union delegations from across the island debate motions and formulate policy. At this year's conference, UNISON Regional Secretary, Patricia McKeown was elected President of Congress, a position she will hold for the next two years. The conference was addressed by both Bertie Ahearn and Martin McGuinness.
